Types of Hackers

There are three types of hackers

i)White Hat Hacker :-

This is used to ethical hacker.  They are the good guys of the hacker world. They help you remove viruses, perform pen tests and generally help people understand where their vulnerabilities are and fix them. Often network admin also perform hacking on their own system, network and website to find vulnerabilities. As a rule, a white hat hacker never broke a rules into a system he does not own or have authority to enter .They use the ethics of hacking to the letter.

ii)Grey hat hacker :-

The term "grey hat", alternatively spelled as "greyhat" or "gray hat", refers to a computer hacker or computer security expert who may sometimes violate laws or typical ethical standards, but does not have the malicious intent typical of a black hat hacker. Many people see the world of IT security as a black-and-white world. However, gray hat hacking does play a role in the security environment. One of the most common examples given of a gray hat hacker is someone who exploits a security vulnerability in order to spread public awareness that the vulnerability exists. In this case, experts might say that the difference between a white hat hacker and a gray hat hacker is that the gray hat hacker exploits the vulnerability publicly, which allows other black hat hackers to take advantage of it. By contrast, a white hat hacker may do it privately in order to alert the company, without making the results public.

iii) Black hat hacker :- 

Black hat hacker is used to describe a cracker or malicious hacker. This differs from white hat hackers, which are security specialists employed to use hacking methods to find security flaws that black hat hackers may exploit. Only network intruders and other activities that conflict with hacker ethics fall under this category.
